Yay! I served my first Celebrity...
Apr. 5th, 2005 10:57 pmWell, kind of.
I served a BBC News reporter, who was travelling to Rome for the Pope's funeral. She was a really, really nice customer. She told me she was with the BBC, but wasn't saying it to make herself sound important or anything. In fact, she played it down, I thought she meant that she was a researcher. So that was cool.
Of course, me being me, meant I didn't really realise she was famous, but the other cashiers said that she seemed very familiar. So I googled her name and confirmed who she was.
Although my sister can do better this week. Not in terms of serving someone famous. But because of something that happened outside her branch on Sunday. Let's just say she might be able to see what pulls the horseless carriages in Harry Potter now...
