So Mark and I are going to his Mom's for Easter tomorrow. We're bringing the lamb for dinner and we're also bringing some snacky desserts. Mark made some yummy cake Brownies, and I made some Easter Nest cakes. They're so cute! Great for kids, I loved making them for Easter as a kid, although I was always supervised over the melting chocolate part.
Just in case anyone wants to make them too, the recipe is as follows;
4 whole sized Shredded Wheat
One (1/2 pound) bar of Hershey's Symphony chocolate
A bag of Cadbury's Mini-Eggs
Muffin/Cake cases
(Makes about 8)
Take the Shredded Wheat and crumble into a bowl. Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. When completely melted add the crumbled Shredded Wheat to the chocolate and mix until all the Shredded Wheat is covered with chocolate.
Spoon the mixture in to muffin/cake cases, add two or three Cadbury Mini-Eggs to the center of the chocolate-covered Shredded Wheat and leave to cool.
Of course you can substitute the chocolate bar for some other bar of chocolate and the Mini-Eggs for some other kind of miniture eggs. We're also going to put ours in the fridge overnight.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone else wanted to make them. :)
