I was told that
deathturtle2000 wanted to know the recipe to some beer batter Mark and I made the other week for when we made our fish and chips in our new fryer.
:) So here it is:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 cups of beer
To make the beer batter you need to combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt together. Then seperately blend the egg and beer, then quickly stir this into the flour mixture. Once the batter is done, cover the fish lightly with flour, then dip into the beer batter. Fry the fish until the batter is crisp and golden brown. Then remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.

In other food related news, I made some bread today and it actually tastes pretty good. Unfortunately it didn't really rise as much as I'd hoped. There's always next time though. :)
